My verse among you reminds you of me, while I am

A captive of decay, moldering beneath the earth.

ليرحمني من كان منكمُ راحماً

ليرحمني من كان منكمُ راحماً

لأني أثيمٌ في الأنام ذميمُ

لأني أثيمٌ في الأنام ذميمُ

Let whoever among you is merciful have mercy on me,

For I am sinful, blameworthy among humankind.

رجوت بربي والشفيعة مريمٍ

رجوت بربي والشفيعة مريمٍ

بحشرٍ مهولٍ والحميمُ حميمُ

بحشرٍ مهولٍ والحميمُ حميمُ

I have placed my hope in my Lord and Mary the intercessor,

At a terrifying resurrection, when the boiling water is scalding.
