You wished to bring the three of us together—
You wanted to bring us three together
my brother and my cousin—a folly born of your waywardness.
My brother and my cousin lost in your misguidance
أَرَدتِyou wished بِأَنthat نَرضَىwe should consent ويَتفَّقِand agree الهَوَىdesire
أَرَدتِ بِأَن نَرضَى ويَتفَّقِ الهَوَى

You wished us to consent, and our desires to agree
You wanted us to agree and share desire
to sharing—no indeed! Do not think it so.
