بإحيا علوم الدين تحيا قلوبنا
ويكشفand it dispels عنfrom غمناour sorrow وكروبناand our afflictions
ويكشف عن غمنا وكروبنا
Through the Revival of the Religious Sciences, our hearts come alive,
By reviving religious sciences, our hearts come alive
And our sorrow and afflictions are dispelled.
And our sorrows and troubles are unveiled

A book containing beneficial knowledge
Its author is our teacher and our physician.
Authored by our professor and healer
كتابa book حوىcontains علمknowledge of الكتابthe Book وسنةand the Sunnah
كتاب حوى علم الكتاب وسنة
وماand what قالهsaid it أواهناour sighing supplicant ومنيبناand our penitent one
وما قاله أواهنا ومنيبنا
A book containing knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah,
A book containing the knowledge of the Scripture and Tradition
And what our sighing supplicant and our penitent one have said.
And what was said by our weak and repentant ones
مواريثlegacies أسلافpredecessors لناof ours وأئمةand imams
مواريث أسلاف لنا وأئمة
مضواhave passed on وعلىand in آثارهمtheir footsteps مستجيبناour willing follower
مضوا وعلى آثارهم مستجيبنا
Legacies of our predecessors and imams
Inheritances of predecessors and imams for us
Who have passed on; our willing follower follows in their footsteps.
Who have passed, and we follow their traces obediently
إذاwhen نشرتare spread abroad أعلامهits banners وعلومهand its sciences
إذا نشرت أعلامه وعلومه
وأبصرهاand beheld them علامنهاour learned one (likely intended) ومصيبناand our discerning one
وأبصرها علامنها ومصيبنا
When its banners and sciences are spread abroad,
When its banners and sciences are spread
And our learned one and our discerning one behold them,
And its scholars and correct ones see them
تحققbecame certain أنthat القلمthe pen فيهin it بأسرهin its entirety
تحقق أن القلم فيه بأسره
ولمand did not يستربdoubt فيabout مثلthe like of هذاthis أريبناour discerning one
ولم يسترب في مثل هذا أريبنا
He is certain that the pen is wholly contained in it,
It is realized that the pen in it is totally
And our discerning one has no doubt about such a thing.
And has not been doubtful in the likes of this, to the doubtful
وقدand indeed أطنبspoke at length الشيخthe shaykh الإمامthe imam بوصفهin describing it
وقد أطنب الشيخ الإمام بوصفه
أبوfather of المكرماتnoble deeds العيدروسal-Aydarus حبيبناour beloved
أبو المكرمات العيدروس حبيبنا
And indeed, the shaykh, the imam, has described it at length—
And the Imam Sheikh has spoken at length in describing it
Abu al-Makrumat, al-Aydarus, our beloved.
Abu Al-Makarim Al-Eidroos, our beloved
وكمand how many غيرهothers besides him منamong عارفa gnostic ومحققand a rigorous scholar
وكم غيره من عارف ومحقق
وحبرand a learned authority عليمdeeply knowledgeable والإلهand God حسيبناour Reckoner
وحبر عليم والإله حسيبنا
And how many others besides him—gnostics and rigorous scholars,
And how many others of knowledgeable and verifying
And erudite authorities; and God is our Reckoner.
And learned scholars, and Allah is sufficient for us
وتمتand it is complete وصلىand may He bless اللَهGod فيat كلevery ساعةhour
وتمت وصلى اللَه في كل ساعة
علىupon أحمدAhmad الهاديthe guide شفيعintercessor for ذنوبناour sins
على أحمد الهادي شفيع ذنوبنا
And it is complete; may God send blessings at every hour
And it is completed, and may Allah pray in every moment
Upon Ahmad, the guide, the intercessor for our sins.
