يا صاحبي وكنتما أنصاراً

يا صاحبي وكنتما أنصاراً

عوناً على الحق المبين جهارا

عوناً على الحق المبين جهارا

O my two companions, you were both supporters,

O my friend, you were supporters,

Openly aiding the manifest truth.

Helping the clear, manifest truth openly.

أما الحبيب السيد البر الذي

أما الحبيب السيد البر الذي

أعلى له الرب العظيم منارا

أعلى له الرب العظيم منارا

As for the beloved, the righteous master for whom

As for the beloved master, the righteous one whom

The mighty Lord raised a lofty beacon,

The Almighty Lord raised a minaret for,

وأقامه داع إليه بقوله

وأقامه داع إليه بقوله

وبفعله من غير ما إنكارا

وبفعله من غير ما إنكارا

And made him a caller to Him through his words,

And established him calling to Him through his words

And through his deeds, without any objection—

And deeds without any denial,

فاللَه يبقيه ويرفع قدره

فاللَه يبقيه ويرفع قدره

وينيله من بره أوطارا

وينيله من بره أوطارا

So may God preserve him and raise his rank,

May God keep him and elevate his worth

And grant him his wishes from His bounty,

And grant him the best of His righteousness,

ويزده علماً ومعرفة به

ويزده علماً ومعرفة به

وسعادة لا تنتهي لقصارا

وسعادة لا تنتهي لقصارا

And increase his knowledge and his awareness of Him,

And increase him in knowledge and ma’rifa of Him

And happiness that never reaches a limit.

And never-ending happiness for the virtuous,

وعمر فلا تنسى مقالته فقد

وعمر فلا تنسى مقالته فقد

شد مع القوم الكرام وسارا

شد مع القوم الكرام وسارا

And Umar—do not forget his words, for he

And a life – so do not forget his words for he

Set out with the noble company and journeyed,

Walked with the honorable people and journeyed,

واختارهم لثنائه وولائه

واختارهم لثنائه وولائه

أعنى بهم السادة الأخيارا

أعنى بهم السادة الأخيارا

And chose them for his praise and devotion—

And chose them for his praise and loyalty –

By them I mean the virtuous masters.

I mean by them the excellent masters.

فاللَه يجمعنا بهم في داره

فاللَه يجمعنا بهم في داره

وجواره وتبيه المختارا

وجواره وتبيه المختارا

So may God gather us with them in His abode,

May God gather us with them in His abode

And near Him, with His chosen Prophet.

And neighbourhood and clear chosen ones,

صلى عليه اللَه دأباً سرمداً

صلى عليه اللَه دأباً سرمداً

والآل ما غنى الحمام وطارا

والآل ما غنى الحمام وطارا

May God bless him continually, forever,

Blessings of God be upon him always forever,

And his family, as long as the doves sing and fly.

And the family as long as the pigeons cooed and flew.
