O beautiful one, God's secret over creation endures.

How often He has forgiven, how often concealed faults—even for people of discord,

    Who commit ruinous, grievous sins,

After repenting of them and attaining sincere accord.

Think well of a Muslim, even if he is faultfinding.

Beware discord and people of doubt and hypocrisy.

Do not side with them: those people are wretched companions.

Keep company with the God-fearing, people of high resolve and striving to excel,

Who have climbed through acts of obedience to the highest rungs,

People of the eye of certainty, humble and tender-hearted,

Whose breaths pierce the lofty vaults,

Dwelling in the Presence with the finest cupbearer.

    خَتمها المسك ياللَه تِلك الساقي

    The spring of Tasnim gives them drink from a brimming cup;

Its seal is musk—O God, that cupbearer!

Then now, O you of languid eyes and pupils,

And you whose love has lodged beneath the membrane's veil,

O beautiful of face, O sweet to the taste,

O delicate in your charms, O abundant in harmony,

What has come over you—may I be your ransom—with judgment and bickering,

And noisy chatter, much grumbling, and quarrelling,

Which already comes from you in utter deadlock,

Like someone caught in the tightness of a strangling rope?

Turn your head back with a loving glance, for love endures.

And fear God, your Lord, the best guardian and protector.

Then send blessings upon the best of those who journeyed by night on Buraq:

Ahmad, the accepted intercessor on the Day of Meeting,

As long as the torrent flows from the sky's rain clouds through the watercourses.
