يا أحمد اللَه بيسر كل ما قد تعسر

ربنا اللَه سبحانه له البر والبحر

O Ahmad, God will ease all that has grown difficult.

O Ahmed, God makes easy all that is difficult

Our Lord is God—glory be to Him; His are the land and the sea.

Our Lord Allah, glorified is He, His is the land and sea

مالك الملك وأحكم من تصرف ودبر

مالك الملك وأحكم من تصرف ودبر

الكريم الرحيم العادل المحسن البر

الكريم الرحيم العادل المحسن البر

Master of dominion, and wisest of those who govern and ordain.

Owner of the kingdom, Wisest in management and arrangement

The Generous, the Merciful, the Just, the Beneficent, the Benevolent.

The Generous, The Merciful, The Just, The Benefactor, The Righteous

واسع الجود والمعروف يعطي ويقهر

واسع الجود والمعروف يعطي ويقهر

نحمده نشكره فيما قضى به وقدر

نحمده نشكره فيما قضى به وقدر

Boundless in generosity and kindness, He gives and subdues.

Vast in generosity and kindness, He gives and overpowers

We praise Him and thank Him for what He has decreed and ordained.

We praise Him, thank Him for what He decreed and destined

قلبي اصبر على المكتوب وإلا تصبر

قلبي اصبر على المكتوب وإلا تصبر

وارض بالحكم من ربك حلا عندك أومر

وارض بالحكم من ربك حلا عندك أومر

My heart, be patient with what is written—or strive for patience.

My heart, be patient with what is written, or you will not be patient

And be content with your Lord's decree, whether sweet to you or bitter.

And accept the decree from your Lord, whether pleasing or bitter

فربك بك ألطف منك وأعلم وأخبر

فربك بك ألطف منك وأعلم وأخبر

لا تعرض ولا تجزع ولا قط تضجر

لا تعرض ولا تجزع ولا قط تضجر

For your Lord is kinder to you than you are to yourself, and more knowing and more aware.

For your Lord is kinder to you than you are, and Most Knowing and Aware

Do not turn away or lose composure, and never grow impatient.

Do not object or worry, never complain impatiently

فإن من يسخط المقدور ما قط يظفر

فإن من يسخط المقدور ما قط يظفر

والذي يرضى بالمكتوب يفلح ويجبر

والذي يرضى بالمكتوب يفلح ويجبر

For whoever resents what is ordained never succeeds.

For whoever is displeased with the ordained will never succeed

And whoever is content with what is written prospers and is made whole.

And whoever accepts what is written will prosper and be repaired

واعلم بأن القضا قد كان بالخير والشر

واعلم بأن القضا قد كان بالخير والشر

قد جرى به قلم في اللوح من قبل يظهر

قد جرى به قلم في اللوح من قبل يظهر

And know that the decree was already set for good and evil.

And know that the decree was with good and evil

A pen had already traced it upon the Tablet before it came to light.

It flowed from a pen in the tablet before it appeared

سلم الأمر للمهيمن تسلم وتؤجر

سلم الأمر للمهيمن تسلم وتؤجر

جل ذو العرش مولانا الكبير المكبر

جل ذو العرش مولانا الكبير المكبر

Entrust the matter to the Guardian; you will be safe and rewarded.

Submit the matter to the Overseer, you will be safe and rewarded

Exalted is the Possessor of the Throne, our Master, the Great, the Magnified.

Majestic is the Lord of the Throne, our Great Master

مالك الملك وحده ما لأحد فيه من ذو

مالك الملك وحده ما لأحد فيه من ذو

الأمر كله له قدر ودبر وسخر

الأمر كله له قدر ودبر وسخر

He alone is Master of dominion; no one has any share in it [ending unclear].

Owner of the kingdom, He alone, none but He has authority

All command belongs to Him; He decreed, ordered, and subjected all.

The command is all His, He ordained, arranged and subjected

فاحمده واشكره في حال النفع والضر

فاحمده واشكره في حال النفع والضر

واذكره وأسأله لا تسأل غيره البر

واذكره وأسأله لا تسأل غيره البر

So praise Him and thank Him in times of benefit and harm.

So praise and thank Him in times of benefit and harm

And remember Him and ask Him; ask no one else for goodness.

And remember Him and ask of Him, ask no one else for righteousness

ثم صلوا على الهادي الشفيع المصدر

ثم صلوا على الهادي الشفيع المصدر

أحمد النور من نوره على الكون يزهر

أحمد النور من نوره على الكون يزهر

Then invoke blessings upon the Guide, the Intercessor given precedence:
