Hail, hail to union in the valley of the graceful beauties!

The joining lives in the valley of Gheid,

Valley of goodness and mercy—how many a worthy one of worthy stock

The valley of goodness, mercy and every beauty.

ضمن تلك الضرايح والمقابر بعيديد

ضمن تلك الضرايح والمقابر بعيديد

المحبين للَه كل يوم لهم عيد

المحبين للَه كل يوم لهم عيد

Lies within those tombs and graves at ʿAidid!

Among those shrines and distant graves,

Lovers of God, for whom every day is a feast,

The lovers of God have a feast everyday.

من رجال العلوم الثابتة بالأسانيد

من رجال العلوم الثابتة بالأسانيد

والمعارف والأعمال الصحيحة بتأكيد

والمعارف والأعمال الصحيحة بتأكيد

Among men of learning established through chains of transmission,

Of men of established sciences with origins,

And spiritual knowledge, and deeds assuredly sound,

And knowledge and correct actions with certainty,

والسياحة بالأودي والمفاوز بالبيد

والسياحة بالأودي والمفاوز بالبيد

في تريم المدينة كم همام وصنديد

في تريم المدينة كم همام وصنديد

And wandering through valleys and desert wastes in the wilderness.

And touring the valleys and rough terrain,

In the city of Tarim, how many a noble hero and valiant champion!

In Tarim, so many prestigious and strong.

أهل بيت النبي الطاهرين المحاميد

أهل بيت النبي الطاهرين المحاميد

كل من حبه يبشر بنصره وتأييد

كل من حبه يبشر بنصره وتأييد

The people of the Prophet's household, pure and praiseworthy.

The People of the Prophet’s house, the praised pure ones,

Whoever loves him receives glad tidings of his aid and support,

Whose love brings victory and support,

والسعادة ويحظى من إلهي بتسديد

والسعادة ويحظى من إلهي بتسديد

والذي يبغض أهل البيت يبشر بتنكيد

والذي يبغض أهل البيت يبشر بتنكيد

And happiness; and from my God he gains right guidance.

And happiness, and is guided by the Divine,

And whoever hates the Household is given tidings of misery:

While hating them brings misery tightly bound.

في حياته وفي قبره عقوبة وتشديد

في حياته وفي قبره عقوبة وتشديد

يا أهل بيت النبي اين الذمم والمواعيد

يا أهل بيت النبي اين الذمم والمواعيد

In his life and in his grave—punishment and severity.

O People of the Prophet’s house, where are the promises,

O people of the Prophet's household, where are the pledges and promises?

And the threats to the aggressors, the destroyers,

واين تخويفكم بالمجترين المناكيد

واين تخويفكم بالمجترين المناكيد

بالفقيه المقدم سيد السادة الصيد

بالفقيه المقدم سيد السادة الصيد

And where is the fear you strike into the insolent wretches?

By the eminent jurist, the master of masters the chosen one,

By al-Faqih al-Muqaddam, lord of the noble lords,

Invoke the Alawite and his children and the respected one who was aided,

وادع علوي ونسله والوجيه الذي زيد

وادع علوي ونسله والوجيه الذي زيد

والمسمى عمر محضار يا نعم من سيد

والمسمى عمر محضار يا نعم من سيد

And invoke ʿAlawi and his offspring, and the eminent one whose honor was increased,

And the one named Omar purely a master,

And the one named ʿUmar Muhdar—oh, what an excellent master!

And Ibn Abi Bakr Abdullah the dear master.

وابن أبي بكر عبد اللَه عزيز المواجيد

وابن أبي بكر عبد اللَه عزيز المواجيد

هيا هيا بكم غارة تذيب الجلاميد

هيا هيا بكم غارة تذيب الجلاميد

And Abu Bakr's son, ʿAbd Allah, exalted in spiritual ecstasies.

Come, come with a raid that melts the frozen,

Come, come! Through you, an onslaught that melts the boulders!

Hurry, hurry with a raid that extinguishes the flames,

أسرعوا أسرعوا غارة تطفي المعاقيد

أسرعوا أسرعوا غارة تطفي المعاقيد

أسرعوا أسرعوا غارة تحل المعاقيد

أسرعوا أسرعوا غارة تحل المعاقيد

Hasten, hasten! An onslaught that quenches the knots!

Hurry, hurry with a raid that undoes the knots,

Hasten, hasten! An onslaught that unties the knots!

Before the envious gloaters exult.

قبل لا يشمت الحاسدون المحاقيد

قبل لا يشمت الحاسدون المحاقيد

يا آل علوي أدركوا من قبل فرقة وتبديد

يا آل علوي أدركوا من قبل فرقة وتبديد

Before the spiteful, envious ones gloat.

O Alawite family realize before separation and disunity,

O family of ʿAlawi, come to the rescue before division and dispersal!

For with you are the keys of guidance and the reins,

فإن فيكم مفاتيح الهدى والمقاليد

فإن فيكم مفاتيح الهدى والمقاليد

فضل من ربكم والأمر للَه توحيد

فضل من ربكم والأمر للَه توحيد

For in you lie the keys to guidance and the reins of command.

A grace from your Lord, and all affairs belong to God alone,

A grace from your Lord; authority belongs to God—affirming His oneness.

We praise and thank Him without limit or count,

نحمده نشكره من غير حصر وتعديد

نحمده نشكره من غير حصر وتعديد

ثم صلوا على الهادي محمد بترديد

ثم صلوا على الهادي محمد بترديد

We praise Him, we thank Him, without limit or counting.

Then send blessings on the guide Muhammad with repetition,

Then send blessings upon the guide, Muhammad, again and again,

As long as the pigeons of Hima coo at dawn,

ما استهلت حمامات الحمى بالتغاريد

ما استهلت حمامات الحمى بالتغاريد

أو سرى البرق في الدجى على شعب عيديد

أو سرى البرق في الدجى على شعب عيديد

As long as the sanctuary's doves burst into song,

Or lightning flows through the darkness on rocky plains.

Or lightning passes through the darkness over the ravine of ʿAidid.
