إن الشدائد لا يدوم مقامها
Do not be dismayed when afflicted with hardship.
Do not despair when you are afflicted with hardship,
Indeed, hardships do not stay forever.
For troubles do not stay in one place.

At the coming of many a hardship, the young man slept;
How often has the youth slept despite their occurrence,
He did not wake until its days had passed.
They did not arise until their days had passed.

So endure the vicissitudes of time patiently, for they
So be patient with the turns of time, for they
Pass, while their coolness and peace remain.
Will pass, and their coldness and peace remain.
