وأنعمي بحضور

O mercy of God, come visit,

And favor us with your presence.

ويميمي سوح قوم

في ضنك عيش مريري

في ضنك عيش مريري

And make for the courtyards of a people

In the hardship of a bitter life.

إنا مددنا يدينا

إنا مددنا يدينا

إلى الرحيم الغفور

إلى الرحيم الغفور

Indeed, we have stretched out our hands

To the Ever-Merciful, the All-Forgiving,

مولاى الموالي تعالى

مولاى الموالي تعالى

ليس له من نظير

ليس له من نظير

My Master, Lord of masters, exalted is He,

Who has no equal.

يقول كل كفور

يقول كل كفور

Far above is He, far above what

Every hardened unbeliever says.

سبحانه من مليك

سبحانه من مليك

ومن عليم قدير

ومن عليم قدير

Glory be to Him, the Sovereign,

The All-Knowing, the All-Powerful,

ومن علي كبير

ومن علي كبير

ومن سميع بصير

ومن سميع بصير

The Most High, the Most Great,

The All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

نحمده نشكره نثني

نحمده نشكره نثني

عليه طول الدهور

عليه طول الدهور

We praise Him, thank Him, and offer praise

Upon Him throughout the ages.

نرجوه نسأل منه

نرجوه نسأل منه

تيسير كل عسير

تيسير كل عسير

We hope in Him and ask of Him

The easing of every difficulty,

وكشف كل مهم

وكشف كل مهم

وجبر كل كسير

وجبر كل كسير

And the lifting of every distress,

And the mending of every broken one,

والعفو عن كل ذنب

والعفو عن كل ذنب

مع صلاح الأمور

مع صلاح الأمور

And pardon for every sin,

With all affairs set right;

وأن يديل ويبدل

وأن يديل ويبدل

غمومنا بالسرور

غمومنا بالسرور

And that He turn our fortunes and replace

Our sorrows with joy;

وأن يريح كروباً

وأن يريح كروباً

قد خيمت في الصدور

قد خيمت في الصدور

And that He relieve the troubles

That have encamped within our breasts;

ويرفع القحط عنا

ويرفع القحط عنا

والظلم من كل زور

والظلم من كل زور

And lift the drought from us,

And the oppression born of every falsehood,

وكل أمر مهول

وكل أمر مهول

وفتنة وشرور

وفتنة وشرور

And every terrifying affair,

And strife and evils.

فيا مغيث أغثنا

فيا مغيث أغثنا

قبل القنوط المبير

قبل القنوط المبير

So, O Helper, help us,

Before ruinous despair.

وارحم شيوخاً ضعافاً

وارحم شيوخاً ضعافاً

وصبية في الحجور

وصبية في الحجور

And have mercy on feeble elders,

And children held in laps.

وارحم بهائم عجفاً

وارحم بهائم عجفاً

أوردت بحدب مضير

أوردت بحدب مضير

And have mercy on emaciated beasts,

Brought onto harmful high ground.

رب اسقنا رب جدنا

رب اسقنا رب جدنا

بكل جود غرير

بكل جود غرير

Lord, give us rain; Lord, favor us

With every delightful bounty,

يضحي به كل وادٍ

يضحي به كل وادٍ

يجري بماء نمير

يجري بماء نمير

Through which, at morning, every valley

Flows with sweet, wholesome water.

وتصبح الأرض تزهو

وتصبح الأرض تزهو

بكل نبت نضير

بكل نبت نضير

And the earth awakens resplendent

With every fresh green growth,

من كل زوج ونوع

من كل زوج ونوع

من رائق وكثير

من رائق وكثير

Of every variety and kind,

Delightful and abundant.

ويمسي الكل منا

ويمسي الكل منا

في نعمة وحبور

في نعمة وحبور

And all of us pass the evening

In blessing and joy,

وكل قلب مراح

وكل قلب مراح

وكل طرف قرير

وكل طرف قرير

And every heart is at ease,

And every eye content.

وأجعل إلهي هذا

وأجعل إلهي هذا

عوناً على كل خير

عوناً على كل خير

And make this, my God,

A help toward every good,

وطاعة وصلاح

وطاعة وصلاح

ذخر اليوم النشور

ذخر اليوم النشور

And obedience and righteousness,

A treasure for the Day of Resurrection,

وقوة وبلاغاً

وقوة وبلاغاً

لنا لحسن المصير

لنا لحسن المصير

And strength and provision

For us to reach a good destination,

وللنزول بدار

وللنزول بدار

طابت لكل صبور

طابت لكل صبور

And to dwell in an abode

Pleasant to every steadfast soul,

وكل عبد منيب

وكل عبد منيب

وكل عبد شكور

وكل عبد شكور

And every servant who turns to Him,

And every deeply grateful servant:

دار النعيم ودار الخل

دار النعيم ودار الخل

د ودار السرور

د ودار السرور

The abode of bliss, the abode of eterni-

ty, and the abode of joy;

وسلما وسبيلاً

وسلما وسبيلاً

إلى اللقاء الخطير

إلى اللقاء الخطير

And a ladder and a path

To the momentous meeting—

لقاء رب كريم

لقاء رب كريم

فرد لطيف خبير

فرد لطيف خبير

The meeting with a generous Lord,

Unique, Most Gentle, All-Aware;

وجنة ونجاة

وجنة ونجاة

من حر نار السعير

من حر نار السعير

And a shield and deliverance

From the heat of the blazing Fire.

يا رب يا رب جيرنا

يا رب يا رب جيرنا

فأنت خير مجير

فأنت خير مجير

O Lord, O Lord, grant us refuge,

For You are the best giver of refuge.

يا رب يا رب عطفا

يا رب يا رب عطفا

على الضعيف الفقير

على الضعيف الفقير

O Lord, O Lord, show compassion

To the weak and needy one.

يا رب يا رب صفحا

يا رب يا رب صفحا

عن الذليل الحقير

عن الذليل الحقير

O Lord, O Lord, show forbearance

Toward the abased and lowly one.

يا رب يا رب عفواً

يا رب يا رب عفواً

عن الذميم الصغير

عن الذميم الصغير

O Lord, O Lord, grant pardon

To the blameworthy, insignificant one.

يا رب واختم بخير

يا رب واختم بخير

إن حان حين المسير

إن حان حين المسير

O Lord, grant us a good ending

If the hour of departure comes

إلى القبور سلام

إلى القبور سلام

منا على أهل القبور

منا على أهل القبور

To the graves. Peace

From us upon the dwellers in the graves.

ثم الصلاة على أحمد

على السراج المنير

على السراج المنير

Then blessings upon Ahmad,

Upon the shining lamp,

على الصفى بكتاب يتلى

على الصفى بكتاب يتلى

وذكر ونور

وذكر ونور

Upon the chosen one, with a Book recited,

And a reminder and a light.

وخصه الرب الأعلى

وخصه الرب الأعلى

منه بفضل كبير

منه بفضل كبير

And the Lord Most High singled him out

With great bounty from Himself.

صلاة ذي العرش تترى

عليه طول العصور

عليه طول العصور

May the blessings of the Throne's Lord come unceasingly

Upon him throughout the ages,

ما سارت الريح تجري

ما سارت الريح تجري

أمام غيث مطير

أمام غيث مطير

As long as the wind blows, coursing

Ahead of a life-giving downpour.
