To You, O Lord, O Knower of what lies within hearts.

To You, O Lord, Knower of innermost thoughts,

To You, O Lord, O You to whom all affairs return.

To You, O Lord, Director of all affairs,

إليك يا ربنا أنت العفو الغفور

إليك يا ربنا أنت العفو الغفور

إليك باُهل الكسا المختار بدر البدور

إليك باُهل الكسا المختار بدر البدور

To You, our Lord: You are the All-Pardoning, the All-Forgiving.

To You, O our Lord, O Most Forgiving and Most Merciful,

To You, through the People of the Cloak: the Chosen One, full moon of full moons—

To You, O Chosen One dressed in fine garments, Full Moon of full moons,

محمد الطهر اللي نوره طمس كل نور

محمد الطهر اللي نوره طمس كل نور

وبالرضى الذي يسقى الشراب الطهور

وبالرضى الذي يسقى الشراب الطهور

Muhammad, the pure, whose light eclipsed every light;

Muhammad, the Pure, whose light outshone all other lights,

And through al-Rida, who is given the purifying drink,

And by the Pleasure with which the pure drink is watered,

غدا من الحوض يوم الحشر يوم النشور

غدا من الحوض يوم الحشر يوم النشور

وبابنة المصطفى الزهراء البتول الصبور

وبابنة المصطفى الزهراء البتول الصبور

Tomorrow from the Pool, on the Day of Gathering, the Day of Resurrection;

Tomorrow, from the Basin on the Day of Assembly and Resurrection,

And through the Chosen One's daughter, al-Zahra, the chaste and patient;

And by the daughter of Mustafa, the chaste and patient Virgin,

وبالحسن اللي زهد في ملك دار الغرور

وبالحسن اللي زهد في ملك دار الغرور

وبالحسن الذي غدروا به أهل الفجور

وبالحسن الذي غدروا به أهل الفجور

And through al-Hasan, who renounced kingship in the abode of delusion;

And by Al-Hasan who renounced the kingdom of the house of delusion,

And through al-Hasan, whom the people of wickedness betrayed;

And by Al-Husayn whom the dissolute people betrayed,

شهدي بألطف فائز بالرضا والسرور

شهدي بألطف فائز بالرضا والسرور

وراح قاتله يدعو في لظى بالثبةور

وراح قاتله يدعو في لظى بالثبةور

A martyr at al-Taff [probable reading], triumphant in favor and joy.

He gladly attained martyrdom and pleasure and joy,

And his killer went crying for destruction in the blazing fire.

And his killer calls out in intense heat and cold,

نسألك بأهل الكساء تكفي الشرور

نسألك بأهل الكساء تكفي الشرور

وأنزل لنا الغيث يسقى النخل يسقى الدبور

وأنزل لنا الغيث يسقى النخل يسقى الدبور

We ask You, through the People of the Cloak, to ward off evils.

We ask you, by the People of the Cloak, to suffice us from evil,

And send down rain for us, that the palms may be watered, that the west wind may be watered.

And send down rain to water the palms and locust trees,

تحيا به الأرض يروي الجدب يروي الدثور

تحيا به الأرض يروي الجدب يروي الدثور

ووفق الحي منا وارحم أهل القبور

ووفق الحي منا وارحم أهل القبور

The earth comes alive through it; it waters the parched ground, it waters the desolate places.

To give life to the land, water the barren spots and places of rainfall,

And guide the living among us aright, and have mercy on the dwellers of the graves.

And give success to the living among us and have mercy on the people of graves.

نمت وصلوا على أحمد يا جميع الحضور

نمت وصلوا على أحمد يا جميع الحضور

وسلموا كلما القمر سجع في الوكور

وسلموا كلما القمر سجع في الوكور

It is complete [probable reading]; send blessings upon Ahmad, all you present,

They have slept - Send peace and blessings upon Ahmad, O all present,

And send him peace whenever the doves coo in their nests,

And send greetings whenever the moon rises over the sand dunes,

وكلما حادى نحو طيبة يزور

وكلما حادى نحو طيبة يزور

And whenever a camel-driver heads toward Tayba to visit.

And whenever it inclines towards the good land on pilgrimage.
