يا رسول اللَه يا أهل الوفا

يا رسول اللَه يا أهل الوفا

يا عظيم الخلق يا بحر الصفا

يا عظيم الخلق يا بحر الصفا

O Messenger of God, O faithful one,

O Messenger of Allah, O people of loyalty

O noble in character, O sea of purity,

O the greatest of creation, O ocean of purity

أنت بعد اللَه نعم المرتجى

أنت بعد اللَه نعم المرتجى

واللجا يا مجتبي يا مصطفى

واللجا يا مجتبي يا مصطفى

After God, you are an excellent hope,

After Allah, you are the best hope

And refuge, O elect one, O chosen one.

And refuge, O Chosen One, O Mustafa

يا ختام الرسل يا خير الورى

يا ختام الرسل يا خير الورى

يا سريع الغوث في صدود وجفا

يا سريع الغوث في صدود وجفا

O seal of the messengers, O best of creation,

O seal of the prophets, O best of creation

O swift to aid amid rejection and harshness.

O swift helper in times of distress and hardship

ورمته في بحار من أسى

ورمته في بحار من أسى

موجها من كل وجه قد طفا

موجها من كل وجه قد طفا

And it has cast him into seas of sorrow,

Whose waves tossed him in seas of sorrow

Their waves have risen from every side.

Surging at him from every side, raging

فأتاكم هارباً من ذنبه

فأتاكم هارباً من ذنبه

ومن الدهر الذي قد أجحفا

ومن الدهر الذي قد أجحفا

So he came to you, fleeing his sin,

So he came to you fleeing from his sin

And from time, which has treated him unjustly,

And from time which had been unjust

وزمان عكست أحواله

وزمان عكست أحواله

صار فيه الوجه في حد القفا

صار فيه الوجه في حد القفا

And a time whose fortunes have been reversed,

And from circumstances reversed

In which the face has taken the place of the nape.

Leaving all in the verge of ruin

ومن الكرب الذي أودى به

ومن الكرب الذي أودى به

ومن الغم الذي قد ألحفا

ومن الغم الذي قد ألحفا

And from the distress that has brought him ruin,

And from the anguish which destroyed him

And from the grief that has pressed relentlessly,

And from the worries which had overwhelmed him

وفتون وشجون ما لها

وفتون وشجون ما لها

كاشف إلا اعتناكم وكفا

كاشف إلا اعتناكم وكفا

And trials and sorrows that have no

And from trials and agonies without end

Dispeller but your care—and that suffices.

Except for your care and protection

فأغثني بغياث عاجل

فأغثني بغياث عاجل

وافتقدني يا شريف الشرفا

وافتقدني يا شريف الشرفا

So aid me with immediate relief,

So help me with immediate aid

And attend to me, O noble one among the noble.

And attend to me, O noblest of the noble

وانتقذني وتداركني وكن

وانتقذني وتداركني وكن

لي معيناً يا إمام الحنفا

لي معيناً يا إمام الحنفا

And rescue me, reach me in time, and be

And save me, assist me, and be

A helper to me, O leader of the upright monotheists.

For me a helper, O Imam of the virtuous

واحمي من كل ما أحذره

واحمي من كل ما أحذره

في معاش ومعاد أزفا

في معاش ومعاد أزفا

And protect me from all that I fear,

And protect me from all I fear

In this life and the return that draws near.

In livelihood and in the place of return and danger

واسأل الرحمن لي في حاجتي

واسأل الرحمن لي في حاجتي

التي في النفس منها كلفا

التي في النفس منها كلفا

And ask the All-Merciful on my behalf about my need,

And ask the Most Merciful for me in my need

Which fills my soul with longing.

Which worries my soul and occupies it

أنت باب اللَه نال المرتجى

أنت باب اللَه نال المرتجى

والأماني من عليه وقفا

والأماني من عليه وقفا

You are God's gate: hopes are attained,

You are the door of Allah, through whom hopes are attained

And wishes too, by whoever stands at it.

And wishes from your highness ascend

أنت حبل اللَه من أمسكه

أنت حبل اللَه من أمسكه

فاز بالخير وبالعهد وفا

فاز بالخير وبالعهد وفا

You are God's rope; whoever grasps it

You are the rope of Allah, whoever holds firm to it

Wins goodness and fulfills the covenant.

Is successful, fulfilling his covenant and promise

يا رسول اللَه يا شمس الهدى

يا رسول اللَه يا شمس الهدى

كل ضر بكم قد كشفا

كل ضر بكم قد كشفا

O Messenger of God, O sun of guidance,

O Messenger of Allah, O sun of guidance

Through you every harm has been dispelled.

You remove all harm and trouble

يا رسول اللَه يا بحر الندى

يا رسول اللَه يا بحر الندى

كل جودٍ منكم قد عرفا

كل جودٍ منكم قد عرفا

O Messenger of God, O sea of generosity,

O Messenger of Allah, O sea of light

All generosity is known to come from you.

All generosity is known through you

يا رسول اللَه إن الجدب وال

يا رسول اللَه إن الجدب وال

قحط والباساء في الأرض ضفا

قحط والباساء في الأرض ضفا

O Messenger of God, indeed drought and

O Messenger of Allah, drought and famine

Famine and hardship have overspread the land.

And scarcity and tribulation have covered the land

يا رسول اللَه قد أودى الغلا

يا رسول اللَه قد أودى الغلا

بالمساكين العفاة الضعفا

بالمساكين العفاة الضعفا

O Messenger of God, high prices have brought ruin

O Messenger of Allah, high prices have destroyed

Upon the poor, the seekers of charity, the weak.

The poor, weak, and helpless

طحنتهم سنوات عجف

طحنتهم سنوات عجف

صار فيها الكل منهم لشفا

صار فيها الكل منهم لشفا

Lean years have ground them down,

Grinding years of hardship

In which each of them has come to the brink.

Made all of them destitute

وذوو الأموال منهم والغنى

وذوو الأموال منهم والغنى

بخلوا بخلاً قبيحاً متلفا

بخلوا بخلاً قبيحاً متلفا

And those among them with wealth and riches

While the wealthy among them, of riches and plenty

Have shown vile, ruinous miserliness.

Were stingy with ugly, harmful stinginess

لم يدعهم بخلهم أن ينفقوا

لم يدعهم بخلهم أن ينفقوا

في سبيل اللَه معطى الخلفا

في سبيل اللَه معطى الخلفا

Their miserliness has not let them spend

Their stinginess did not stop them from spending

In the path of God, the Giver of compensation.

In the way of Allah, Grantor of succession

فبقي أهل الضروات بها

فبقي أهل الضروات بها

مثل حوت بخره قد نشفا

مثل حوت بخره قد نشفا

So those in dire need have been left there,

So the people of poverty remained in it

Like a fish whose sea has dried up.

Like a whale whose water has dried up

والذي أوجب هذا كله

والذي أوجب هذا كله

أن كلا منهم قد أسرفا

أن كلا منهم قد أسرفا

And what has caused all of this

What made all this obligatory

Is that each of them has transgressed.

Is that each of them was extravagant

فاسأل العفو لهم يا سيدي

فاسأل العفو لهم يا سيدي

ربك الرحمن أكرم من عفا

ربك الرحمن أكرم من عفا

So ask pardon for them, O my master,

So ask forgiveness for them, my master

Of your Lord, the All-Merciful, the most generous of those who pardon.

From your Lord, the Most Merciful, Most Forgiving

وادعه أن ينزل الغيث لهم

وادعه أن ينزل الغيث لهم

عاماً إذ ينسوا به ما سلفا

عاماً إذ ينسوا به ما سلفا

And call upon Him to send down rain for them,

And call upon Him to send rain for them

Widespread, for through it they will forget what came before.

A year in which they forget what is past

ويعيش الناس فيه صالحاً

ويعيش الناس فيه صالحاً

يحمدون اللَه جهراً وخفا

يحمدون اللَه جهراً وخفا

And the people may live well in it,

And the people live in it righteously

Praising God openly and in secret.

Praising Allah aloud and in secret

وتشفع يا رسول اللَه في

وتشفع يا رسول اللَه في

كشف هذا الكرب حتى يكشفا

كشف هذا الكرب حتى يكشفا

And intercede, O Messenger of God, for

And intercede, O Messenger of Allah, in

The lifting of this distress, until it is lifted.

Relieving this anguish until it passes

فلك القدر المعظم شأنه

فلك القدر المعظم شأنه

ولك الجاه الفسيح الكنفا

ولك الجاه الفسيح الكنفا

For yours is the rank whose dignity is exalted,

For you is mighty rank

And yours the standing whose bounds are vast.

And expansive, exalted authority

رب لا طفنا بجاه المصطفى

رب لا طفنا بجاه المصطفى

واسقنا الغيث فأنا ضعفا

واسقنا الغيث فأنا ضعفا

Lord, be gentle with us for the sake of the Chosen One's standing,

Lord, do not condemn us through the rank of Mustafa

And give us rain to drink, for we are weak.

And quench us with rain, for we are weak

قد عصينا ثم تبنا فأقل

قد عصينا ثم تبنا فأقل

وتقبل من جنى واعترفا

وتقبل من جنى واعترفا

We have disobeyed, then repented, so pardon us,

We disobeyed, then repented, so be gentle

And accept the one who has sinned and confessed.

And accept from us, for we confessed and regretted

وارفع القحط من الأرض مع الظ

وارفع القحط من الأرض مع الظ

لم والجور الذي قد كثفا

لم والجور الذي قد كثفا

And lift drought from the earth, along with

And lift the drought from the land, and the

Injustice and tyranny, which have grown severe.

Injustice and oppression which have intensified

وانصر الدين وارشد أهله

وانصر الدين وارشد أهله

وولاة الأمر وفق للوفا

وولاة الأمر وفق للوفا

And give victory to the faith, and guide its people,

And help the religion, and guide its people,

And grant those in authority success in keeping faith.

And the leaders, granting them success and loyalty

يا كريماً يا جواداً ماجداً

يا كريماً يا جواداً ماجداً

يا رحيماً يا لطيف اللطفا

يا رحيماً يا لطيف اللطفا

O Generous One, O Bountiful and Glorious One,

O Most Generous, Most Glorious, Most Majestic

O Merciful One, O gentlest of the gentle,

O Most Merciful, Most Kind, Most Gentle

يا عليماً يا حليماً محسناً

يا عليماً يا حليماً محسناً

يا عطوفاً عطفه قد ألفا

يا عطوفاً عطفه قد ألفا

O All-Knowing One, O Forbearing and Beneficent One,

O Most Knowing, Most Forbearing, Most Benevolent

O Compassionate One, whose compassion is familiar,

O Most Compassionate, whose affection has been known

يا عظيم المن والإفضال وال

يا عظيم المن والإفضال وال

جود والعرف الذي قد وصفا

جود والعرف الذي قد وصفا

O great in favor, beneficence, and

O Greatest in blessing, favor, generosity, and merit

Generosity, and in kindness that has been described.

Which has been described

وصلاة اللَه تغشى أحمداً

وصلاة اللَه تغشى أحمداً

من لنا الكفر والشرك طفا

من لنا الكفر والشرك طفا

And may God's blessing envelop Ahmad,

And may the prayers of Allah cover Ahmad

Who extinguished unbelief and polytheism for us.

Who saved us from disbelief and idolatry

وسلام اللَه مع بركاته

وسلام اللَه مع بركاته

وعلى الآل الكرام الشرفا

وعلى الآل الكرام الشرفا

And God's peace, together with His blessings,

And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him

And upon his noble, honorable family,

And upon the noble, virtuous family

وعلى الأصحاب مع أتباعهم

وعلى الأصحاب مع أتباعهم

دائما ما يرق نجد رفرفا

دائما ما يرق نجد رفرفا

And upon the Companions and their followers,

And upon his companions and followers

Forever, as long as Najd grows tender with verdure,

Forever, however long the caravans continue on

وسري منها نسيم طيب

وسري منها نسيم طيب

لغليل القلب أبرا وشفا

لغليل القلب أبرا وشفا

And a fragrant breeze wafts from it,

And a gentle breeze blew from it

Relieving and healing the heart's burning thirst.

Sweetly comforting the heart and healing it
