تبلغ بالقليل من القليل

تبلغ بالقليل من القليل

وهيِّ الدار للسفر الطويل

وهيِّ الدار للسفر الطويل

Make do with a little of a little,

Achieve much with very little

And prepare the dwelling for the long journey.

And prepare the house for a long journey

ولا تغتر بالدنيا وذرها

ولا تغتر بالدنيا وذرها

فما الدنيا بدار للنزيل

فما الدنيا بدار للنزيل

Do not be deceived by this world, and leave it,

Be not deceived by this world, leave it

For this world is no home for the sojourner.

For this world is no home for a lodger

ولا تحسب بأنك سوف تبقى

ولا تحسب بأنك سوف تبقى

فليس إلى بقاء من سبيل

فليس إلى بقاء من سبيل

And do not suppose that you will remain,

Do not think you will remain

For there is no path to permanence.

For none have a path to remaining

ولا تحرص على المال المحلى

ولا تحرص على المال المحلى

خلافك للقريب أو السليل

خلافك للقريب أو السليل

And do not covet adorned wealth,

Do not be greedy for possessions

Left after you for a kinsman or descendant.

Even if a close kin or blood relation

وأنفق منه مهما كان مال

وأنفق منه مهما كان مال

وقدم منه لليوم الثقيل

وقدم منه لليوم الثقيل

And spend from it, whatever wealth there is,

Spend from it no matter how much wealth you have

And send some ahead for the burdensome Day.

And advance from it for the difficult day

وخير الزاد تقوى اللَه فاعلم

وخير الزاد تقوى اللَه فاعلم

وشمر واعد عن قال وقيل

وشمر واعد عن قال وقيل

And the best provision is fear of God, so know this.

The best provision is consciousness of God, so know

And gird yourself, and turn away from idle talk.

Roll up your sleeves beyond saying and telling

وحق اللَه أعظم كل حق

وحق اللَه أعظم كل حق

فقم بالحق للملك الجليل

فقم بالحق للملك الجليل

And God's right is the greatest of all rights,

The right of God is greater than any right

So fulfill what is due to the majestic King.

So stand for the right of the Majestic King

وطاعته غنى الدارين فالزم

وطاعته غنى الدارين فالزم

وفيها العز للعبد الذليل

وفيها العز للعبد الذليل

And obedience to Him is wealth in both worlds, so hold fast to it,

And obedience to Him is the riches of both abodes so hold fast

And in it is honor for the lowly servant.

And in it is honor for the submissive slave

وفي عصيانه عار ونار

وفي عصيانه عار ونار

وفيها البعد مع خزي وبيل

وفيها البعد مع خزي وبيل

And in disobedience to Him lie disgrace and fire,

And in disobeying Him is shame and hellfire

And in it is estrangement, with grievous disgrace.

And in it is distance along with disgrace and affliction

فلا تعصي إلهك بل أطعه

فلا تعصي إلهك بل أطعه

دواماً عل تحظى بالقبول

دواماً عل تحظى بالقبول

So do not disobey your God; rather, obey Him

So do not disobey your God, but obey Him

Continually, in the hope of gaining acceptance,

Always so you may attain acceptance

وبالرضوان من رب رحيم

وبالرضوان من رب رحيم

عظيم الفضل وهاب الجزيل

عظيم الفضل وهاب الجزيل

And approval from a merciful Lord,

And good pleasure from the Merciful Lord

Great in bounty, a lavish giver of abundant gifts.

Great of bounty, Bestower of abundance

وصلى ربنا في كل حين

وصلى ربنا في كل حين

وسلم بالغدو وبالأصيل

وسلم بالغدو وبالأصيل

And may our Lord bestow blessings at every moment,

And may our Lord bless

And grant peace in the morning and the evening,

In every time, at dawn and dusk

على طه البشير بكل خير

على طه البشير بكل خير
