بُشْرَايَ بَاشَرْتُ الهُدَى وَالنورَا

بُشْرَايَ بَاشَرْتُ الهُدَى وَالنورَا

بِلِقَائِيَ المُسْتَنْصر المَنْصُورَا

بِلِقَائِيَ المُسْتَنْصر المَنْصُورَا

Glad tidings are mine! I have encountered guidance and light

Good tidings, I have started guiding to light and radiance

Through my meeting al-Mustansir, the victorious.

By my meeting the victorious, triumphant leader

فَإذَا أَميرُ المُؤمِنينَ لَقِيتُهُ

فَإذَا أَميرُ المُؤمِنينَ لَقِيتُهُ

لَمْ أَلْقَ إِلا نضْرةً وَسُرُورَا

لَمْ أَلْقَ إِلا نضْرةً وَسُرُورَا

For when I met the Commander of the Faithful,

So when I meet the commander of the faithful

I found nothing but radiance and joy.

I will not find anything but freshness and joy
