لنا ملكان حازا كلَّ فخرٍ

لنا ملكان حازا كلَّ فخرٍ

بما مَلكاهُ مِنْ رقِّ الأعاد

بما مَلكاهُ مِنْ رقِّ الأعاد

We have two kings who have won every glory,

We have two kings who gained every glory,

through the foes they have held in bondage.

Through what they possessed of the frailty of time,

فيحيى للفوارسِ مَسْتَعِدُّ

فيحيى للفوارسِ مَسْتَعِدُّ

وأنت أبا عليٍّ للجراد

وأنت أبا عليٍّ للجراد

So Yahya is ready for the horsemen,

So Yahya is ready for the knights,

and you, Abu Ali, for the locusts.

While you, Abu Ali, are for the locusts.
