لحظهhis glance لحظthe glance of مُغزلa doe with a fawn
لحظه لحظ مُغزل
Swimming in it was a graceful youth,
Wherein a nightingale was swimming
his glance that of a doe with a fawn.
Moment by moment spinning melodies
خلتهI took him to be إذwhen بداhe appeared بهin it
خلته إذ بدا به
قمراًa moon فيamid مكلللencircling cloud (reading uncertain)
قمراً في مكللل
When he appeared in it, I took him
When it appeared in it
for a moon amid encircling cloud.
It seemed a crowned moon
باتhe spent the night تغشاهveiling him غيمةa cloud
بات تغشاه غيمة
تارةًat times ثمthen ينجليhe emerges clear
تارةً ثم ينجلي
Through the night a cloud would veil him
Then a cloud would cover it
at times, and then he would emerge clear.
