منْ حُسْنِ بهجتها ثيابَ زبرجد
And gardens, green of flank, were clothed
Gardens clad in green cloaks were dressed,
In robes of chrysolite through the beauty of their radiance.
With robes of emerald for their beauty's sake.
زَرَّتْbuttoned عليهاover them الشمسُthe sun فَضْلَthe loose end ردائهاher cloak
زَرَّتْ عليها الشمسُ فَضْلَ ردائها
فبداso appeared زَبَرْجَدُهُنَّtheir chrysolite تحتَbeneath العسجدthe gold
فبدا زَبَرْجَدُهُنَّ تحتَ العسجد
The sun buttoned the loose end of her cloak over them,
The sun cast off its garment's train upon them,
So their chrysolite appeared beneath the gold.
Beneath the blossoms their emerald did wake.
