وقزازةٍ زرقاءَ رقُّ صفاؤها

وقزازةٍ زرقاءَ رقُّ صفاؤها

قد ضمَّ زهرَ الجلَّنارةِ ماؤهاه

قد ضمَّ زهرَ الجلَّنارةِ ماؤهاه

And a blue glass vessel of delicate clarity,

With blueness so gentle a turquoise vase

Its liquid has embraced the pomegranate blossom.

Whose water has drunk the red rose’s grace

فاعجبْ لراحٍ كاسُها من فضةٍ

فاعجبْ لراحٍ كاسُها من فضةٍ

ما إنْ تسيلُ وقد يسيلُ إناؤها

ما إنْ تسيلُ وقد يسيلُ إناؤها

Marvel, then, at wine whose cup is silver:

Marvel at a cup made of silver so pure

It does not flow, though its vessel may flow.

That spills not a drop, though it ever outpours
