يَعلَم بمقدار الصحاحِ الجوهَرِيّه

Whoever has not plunged into the depths of al-Qamus has not

Who has not plunged into the sea of the dictionary

known the worth of al-Jawhari's al-Sihah.

Does not know the worth of the dry jewels

ومن امتطى سحَّ العُبابِ فإنهُ

ومن امتطى سحَّ العُبابِ فإنهُ

يصغي إلى صوغ المعاني الأزهَرِيَّه

يصغي إلى صوغ المعاني الأزهَرِيَّه
