We came to know blessings at ʿArafāt,

and were safeguarded from every affliction.

We attained what we desired and won

the heights of palaces and lofty chambers.

We drew near to our Lord, and gathered

every blessing at Jamʿ through acts of drawing near.

At the Sacred Monument we sensed

the acceptance of our deeds and prayers.

Mina showed us our wishes; and at al-Khay-

-f we were safe from every fear.

We stoned the Jamarāt, extinguishing the embers of si-

-n—marvel at the antithesis in the Jamarāt!

We shaved our heads; then there circled around us—how many

    circles of manifold blessings!

Then we performed the ṭawāf of Ifāḍah around the House of God,

exalted is He—seven rounds of circumambulation.

We bowed behind the Station—oh, how beautiful

the bowing there, and the prostrations!

We returned to Mina to bring to fulfillment

the wishes there, and the intentions.

A dwelling at whose sacred precinct gather the carav-

-ans, one and all, from every quarter.

It shone and grew resplendent, and has no

peer; nor can its beauty ever fade.

The sky came to resemble the ear-

-th there, in the pitch-black darkness:

for the sky shone with its shooting stars,

and the earth with its radiant candles.
