بادر إلى كتبِ الأمالي جاهداً

مِن ألسُنِ الحُفّاظِ والفُضلاءِ

مِن ألسُنِ الحُفّاظِ والفُضلاءِ

Make haste, striving, to the books of scholarly dictations (amālī),

Hasten diligently to write down the dictations

drawn from the lips of hadith masters and men of learning.

From the lips of hadith masters and learned men;

فأجَلُّ أنواعِ الحديثِ بأسرها

فأجَلُّ أنواعِ الحديثِ بأسرها

ما يَكتُبُ الإنسانُ في الإملاءِ

ما يَكتُبُ الإنسانُ في الإملاءِ

For the noblest of all forms of transmitted tradition

For the noblest of all kinds of hadith

is what a person writes down in a dictation session.
