واجبُرهُ من كل كسرٍ واردُرَدَنَّ علي

واجبُرهُ من كل كسرٍ واردُرَدَنَّ علي

هِ بالمعارفِ يتلوها فيَنجَبِرُ

هِ بالمعارفِ يتلوها فيَنجَبِرُ

And heal him of every fracture, and [pour forth?] upon—

Oblige him from every wound that has afflicted me, and respond to me

—him spiritual insights he recites, so that he is made whole.

With wisdoms to recite and so heal me

وافتَح عليه فُتوحَ العارفينَ وكُن

وافتَح عليه فُتوحَ العارفينَ وكُن

له وليّاً فمن والَيتَ يَنتَصِرُ

له وليّاً فمن والَيتَ يَنتَصِرُ

And grant him the spiritual openings of the knowers, and be

And open for him the openings of the gnostics, and be

his guardian, for whoever You befriend prevails.

For him a guardian, so he who you protect is victorious

واجعل بأعلى عُلا الفردوسِ منزلَهُ

واجعل بأعلى عُلا الفردوسِ منزلَهُ

فضلاً فيزدادُ من جوارِكَ النَظَرُ

فضلاً فيزدادُ من جوارِكَ النَظَرُ

And set his dwelling in the loftiest heights of Firdaus,

And make his dwelling in the highest of the High Paradise

as a grace, so that vision grows through nearness to You.

An act of grace, so he increases in seeing you

تلك الزيادةُ والحُسنى فلا عجبٌ

تلك الزيادةُ والحُسنى فلا عجبٌ

إن نِلتُها بالذي سَمَت به مُضَرُ

إن نِلتُها بالذي سَمَت به مُضَرُ

That is the increase and the finest reward; no wonder

That increase and beauty, no wonder

if I attain it through him by whom Mudar rose high.

If I attained it through the one towards whom Mudar turned

صلّى عليه إلاهُ العَرش ما طَلَعت

صلّى عليه إلاهُ العَرش ما طَلَعت

شمسٌ وما ازدهرت في الأفُق الزُهُرُ

شمسٌ وما ازدهرت في الأفُق الزُهُرُ

May the God of the Throne bless him as long as there rises

Blessings be upon him, Allah of the Throne, for as long as

a sun, and as long as the bright stars gleam on the horizon.

A sun has risen and flowers have bloomed on the horizon

يا ربِّ شَفُّعهُ فيَّ واقبَل شفاعَتَهُ

يا ربِّ شَفُّعهُ فيَّ واقبَل شفاعَتَهُ

فجاهُهُ ربَّنا لديكَ مُعتَبَرُ

فجاهُهُ ربَّنا لديكَ مُعتَبَرُ

O Lord, make him my intercessor, and accept his intercession.

O Lord, intercede for me through him and accept his intercession

For his standing, our Lord, is esteemed in Your sight.

For his eminence, our Lord, is esteemed with you

وأنتَ قلتَ ولو أنَّهُم وأنا

وأنتَ قلتَ ولو أنَّهُم وأنا

قد جِئتهُ فأنا إليه مُحتَضِرُ

قد جِئتهُ فأنا إليه مُحتَضِرُ

And You said, “And if they...”—and I

And You have said, even if they and I

have indeed come to him, so I stand in his presence.

Came to You, I rush towards him

ولي مقاصدُ لا تخفى عليك وقد

ولي مقاصدُ لا تخفى عليك وقد

أبديتُ بعضاً وجُلُّ القصد مُستَترُ

أبديتُ بعضاً وجُلُّ القصد مُستَترُ

And I have aims not hidden from You, and I have

And I have intentions that are not hidden from You, and I have

disclosed some, while most of my intent remains concealed.

Revealed some, while most of the intention remains concealed

فامنُن علينا وبَلِّغنا مقاصِدَنا

فامنُن علينا وبَلِّغنا مقاصِدَنا

بأسرها ربِّ بَحرُ البِرِّ مُستجِرُ

بأسرها ربِّ بَحرُ البِرِّ مُستجِرُ

So bestow favor upon us, and bring us to our aims,

So bestow upon us, and enable us to attain all our intentions

in their entirety, Lord; the sea of goodness is brimming.

O Lord of the sea of righteousness, the Shelterer
