And twice as much, for the rain of grace pours down.
And remedy our weakness, for Your grace abundant flows.

ريحُ الشمالِ لكَي يلثِمَهُ النَهَرُ
As long as a branch stands on a trunk and is bent by
No branch stood on its stem, blown by north wind,
The north wind, so that the river may kiss it;
Except it bent over for the river to kiss.

فضَحكتُ لبُكاء آماقِها الزهَرُ
And as long as the clouds of the horizons weep, pouring down,
No clouds wept lamenting across horizons
Then the flowers laugh at the weeping of their eye-corners;
Except I laughed at their tearful eyes' downpour.

And as long as one in distress pleads through the Chosen One,
None despaired, beseeching the Chosen One,
Then returns, his needs fleeing ahead of him;
Except his wants were replaced by gains galore.

And as long as one harmed by his need chants:
None were afflicted by tribulation or need, crying
O my Lord, O my Lord, affliction has indeed touched me.
“O Lord, O Lord,” except harm was drove far from his door.
