حَمانا مِن مخوفِ الدهرِ بيتٌ

A house sheltered us from the terrors of time;

A shelter that protects us from the fears of fate

Its pillars and roof are of remembrance.

With pillars of remembrance and a roof

مَحوطٌ بالسرور وبالتهاني

مَحوطٌ بالسرور وبالتهاني

عليه البشرُ والإقبالُ وقفُ

عليه البشرُ والإقبالُ وقفُ

Surrounded by joy and well-wishes,

Surrounded by joy and congratulations

Good cheer and good fortune are its lasting endowment.

Upon it people and favor stand still

نَزَلنا في فناءٍ منه رَحبٍ

به الآمالُ ليس بهِنَّ خُلفُ

به الآمالُ ليس بهِنَّ خُلفُ

We lodged in its spacious courtyard,

We descended into its vast courtyard

Where hopes meet no disappointment.

In it hopes, no disappointment

فأَرشَفَنا مِنَ الإكرام ثَوباً

فأَرشَفَنا مِنَ الإكرام ثَوباً

يزيدُ على المدى طيباً ويَصفو

يزيدُ على المدى طيباً ويَصفو

So it gave us a robe of honor to sip,

So we were clothed by hospitality

Which grows sweeter with time and becomes clear.

Increasing in goodness and purity

وألبَسَنا من الإكرام ثوباً

وألبَسَنا من الإكرام ثوباً

لهُ بالأمنِ والإسعافِ سُجفُ

لهُ بالأمنِ والإسعافِ سُجفُ

And it clothed us in a robe of honor,

And we were clothed by hospitality

Whose borders are safety and succor.

With security and aid as lining

يَصُدُّ عَدُوَّنا الشيطانَ عَنّا

يَصُدُّ عَدُوَّنا الشيطانَ عَنّا

ويُتحِفُنا ملائكةٌ تَحفُّ

ويُتحِفُنا ملائكةٌ تَحفُّ

It repels our enemy, Satan, from us,

It wards off our enemy, Satan, from us

And angels gathering round bestow gifts upon us.

And angels envelop us with gifts
