لاno بِدعَwonder إنif وافىhe arrives بغَيثٍwith rain صيِّبٍpouring
لا بِدعَ إن وافى بغَيثٍ صيِّبٍ
وأتىand he comes بكلwith every شذىfragrance وعرفٍand scent طيِّبِsweet
وأتى بكل شذى وعرفٍ طيِّبِ
No wonder if he arrives with pouring rain,
When rain brings abundant showers
And brings every fragrance and sweet scent,
And sweet fragrance fills the air
واختصَّand he is singled out بالحَمدِfor praise الكثيرِabundant فإنهُfor indeed it is
واختصَّ بالحَمدِ الكثيرِ فإنهُ
نَجرroot اشتقاقِderivation محمدMuhammad بنِson of الطيّبِal-Tayyib
نَجر اشتقاقِ محمد بنِ الطيّبِ
And is singled out for abundant praise, for it is
Offer plentiful praise, for it
The root from which the name Muhammad ibn al-Tayyib is derived.
