Abu Jaʿfar is a man, a scribe—

fine is his pen-point, and sweet his address.

He has filled himself with fat and flesh, though

such fullness ill befits the writing trade.

And the sweat he bears is not the moisture of shame,

but the seepage of excess sexual impurity.

Fluid coursed softly through his lower parts

and wrought hardness in his upper part.
