O you held in esteem among the wise,
O you who transgress against the prohibited people
Do not melt away in anguish for one departed.
Do not pursue a captive prisoner

And when the lions guard their thickets,
And when the lion protects her cubs
The falls of the oryx do the thicket no harm.
The vile one is not harmed by the blows of fate

And strange it is, O son of the moons of glory,
How strange, O son of the moons of highness
That the full moon should be alarmed by the loss of al-Suha.
That the full moon should fear the loss of meteors
