هذه أسواق ربح السؤدد

فاكتسب أعلاقها كي تسعَدِ

These are the markets where noble eminence is gained;

So acquire their precious wares, that you may prosper.

نشرَت أمتعة التوفيق في

طالع الهدى فهل من مهتد

The wares of divinely granted success were spread out in

The rising star of guidance—is there anyone to be guided?

فتلقاها أولو الحمد الذي

حل علياهم محَل الفرقد

So those worthy of praise received them—the praise that

Settled upon their heights, at Farqad’s station.

بذلوا أنفسه في كسبها

بصفا القلب وحسن المقصد

They offered [their] very selves to acquire them,

With purity of heart and goodness of purpose.

وسعوا بسعى المجدين لها

ليس يحوى المجد من لم يجهد

And they strove for them with the striving of the diligent;

No one who does not strive attains glory.

حزتمُ العليا وفزتم بالمنى

يا صحابة النبي أحمد

You attained the heights and won your wishes,

O Companions of the Prophet Ahmad!

من كعلياء أبى بكر الذي

حاز بالإيثار بيضاء اليد

Who can equal the eminence of Abu Bakr, who

Won, through selflessness, the white hand of generosity,

أو كمثل عمر الفاروق في

نصر دين اللَه يوم المشهد

Or match Umar al-Faruq in

Defending God’s faith on the day of battle,

أو كعثمان شهيد الدار ذي ال

معلوات والتقى والسؤدد

Or be like Uthman, martyr of the house, possessed of the

Lofty qualities, piety, and noble eminence,

أو على بن عم المصطفى

الهمام الفارس المؤيد

Or Ali, cousin of the Chosen One,

The valiant, divinely aided horseman?

لصحابة النبي أثرة

ورثوها عن جلال المحتد

The Prophet’s Companions possess a special distinction

Which they inherited from the nobility of their stock.

فهم كالزهر يهتدى بهم

فاقف أثار الشموس تهتدى

So they are like bright stars, by whom one finds the way;

So follow the tracks of the suns, and you will be guided.

حب أحمد وحب صحبه

يوم حشر الخلق أخذ باليد

Love of Ahmad and love of his Companions

Will take one by the hand on the day all creation is gathered.

فعليهم سلام طيب

من محب بالنوى مقيد

So may sweet peace be upon them,

From a lover fettered by separation.
