حملتُ الجِياد فأَكرمْتَني

حملتُ الجِياد فأَكرمْتَني

ورحتُ وقد حملتني الجياد

ورحتُ وقد حملتني الجياد

I carried the steeds, so you honored me;

I mounted my steed and you honored me

And I departed, borne by the steeds.

I traveled as the steed carried me

فَلِمْ لا أَتيه على العالمين

فَلِمْ لا أَتيه على العالمين

وفَوقي جَوادٌ وتحتي جَواد

وفَوقي جَوادٌ وتحتي جَواد

So why should I not lord it over all mankind,

Why wouldn't I come to him over all people

With a generous man above me and a steed beneath me?

With a steed above me and a steed below me
