By God, if the young men were fair to themselves,
By God, if young men were fair to themselves,
They would give you what they had treasured of themselves and what they had guarded.
They would give you all they had saved and protected.

You are, when you sing in their gatherings,
When you sing in their gatherings,
Nothing but the east wind’s breeze, and the company are branches.
You are but the morning breeze, and they are branches swaying.
