The son of Munir satirized me
A scholar whose sound judgment has benefited mankind.
With ink that benefits people with its correctness
ولمand did not تضيقyou constrict بذاكwith that صدريmy breast
ولم تضيق بذاك صدري
فإنfor indeed ليI have أسوةan example الصحابهthe Companions
فإن لي أسوة الصحابه
And you have not constricted my breast with that,
Yet that did not trouble my heart
For I have the Companions as my example.
For I follow the example of the Companions
