إني أنا الفتح سمعتم به

إني أنا الفتح سمعتم به

ما همه حرب ولا صلح

Indeed, I am al-Fath, of whom you have heard.

I am Al-Fath, you have heard of me,

Neither war nor peace concerns him.

I care not for war or peace,

من عدّ لي ذنبا اقلاني به

من عدّ لي ذنبا اقلاني به

فانما ذنبي له النصح

فانما ذنبي له النصح

Whoever counted a fault against me hated me for it;

If one counts my misdeeds and reproaches me,

for my only fault toward him is sincere counsel.

My only crime is to advise,

قولوا له يغلق ابوابه

قولوا له يغلق ابوابه

فإنه حاربه الفتح

فإنه حاربه الفتح

Tell him to close his doors,

Tell him to close his doors,

for al-Fath has waged war on him.

For Al-Fath makes war on him.
