راحَcame at evening فِراقٌparting أَوغَداor came in the morning
لَستُI am not بِباقٍremaining أَبَداforever
Whether parting comes at evening or morning,
A parting has passed or tomorrow neared
I shall not remain forever.
I will not remain forever
كَمhow many لَكَof yours مِنof أَحِبَّةٍloved ones
ماتواthey died فَصارواand so they became بَدَداscattered
How many loved ones of yours
How many beloved ones you had
Have died and become scattered!
Who died and turned to remnants
لاdo not تُخدَعَنbe deceived فَإِنَّماfor indeed
كَوالِدٍlike a begetter مَنwhoever وُلِداwas born
Do not be deceived, for indeed
Be not deceived for it is as
The begotten is just like the begetter.
A parent to the newborn
أَوشِكhow soon بِهِfor him أَنto يَرِداarrive
Whoever journeys every hour—
Whoever traveled every hour
How soon he will arrive!
Is about to return
ياO باغِيَseeker of الشَرِّharm لَناfor us
أُردُدdraw back عَنِfrom الظُلمِoppression يَداa hand
O you who seek harm for us,
O you who brings evil upon us
Draw back your hand from oppression.
I return the hand from injustice
لَئِنeven if غُلِبناwe were surpassed عَدَداin numbers
لَقَدsurely غَلَبناwe surpassed عُدَداin armaments
Even if we were surpassed in numbers,
If we are outnumbered
We have surely surpassed them in armaments.
We have outmatched in quality
