We saddled the riding camels, setting out by night; they bore as fruit
We rode on saddled steeds eagerly towards death
Every generous youth, foremost in racing toward death.
Each youth racing with fate to the grave

زُجاجاتُ جاماتٍ أُديرَت عَلى الساقي
We prolonged the night journey until their eyes seemed like
We travelled by night as if their eyes
Glass goblets passed round to the cupbearer.
Were crystal cups passing round the wine pourer
