تَبيتُ قُلوبَ العاذِلينَ عَلى رُغمِ
We have a deaf resolve that hears no incantations.
We have an obstinate resolve that hears no charms,
It assails reproachers’ hearts by night, against their will.
And dwells within the hearts of censurers despite their scorn.
وَإِنّاand indeed we لَنُعطيwe surely give الحَقَّwhat is rightfully due مِنfrom غَيرِwithout حاكِمٍa judge

And we surely render what is due, without a judge
Indeed we give the truth without a judge decreed,
over us; though, had we wished, we could have withheld it unjustly.
Though we'd have held it back, and borne the wrong with scorn.
