The virgin, first-pressed wine has bewitched us.

So hers are his soul's love and purity.

A wine jar's spirit, she has the cup for a body.

So within it she is like fire, while it is air.

And when the ewers spit out rain-

clouds, a gray-haired one is in her, and the water grows gray.

And the bubbles, when they mixed her, seemed like

a white rose above a pearl.

And for whoever smells her moist earth, it is as though

it were a star, his palm a sky above it.
