She for whom my soul is a ransom gave me
She, for whom my soul is a sacrifice,
roses of two kinds, gathered together on a platter,
Gave me a dish with two kinds of roses combined
كَأَنَّas though أَبيَضَهُits white مِنfrom فَوقِabove أَحمَرِهِits red

as though the white ones above the red
As though the white ones shine over the red
were stars shining in the crimson of twilight.
Like stars arising amid the redness of dusk
