مِن دَمعَةٍ طالَما جادَت وَما سُفِحَت
My lord, the eyelids of my eye have indeed grown sore,
My Master, truly the eyelids have become ulcerated
From a tear that has so often welled up, yet has not been shed.
From a tear that has long flowed and yet goes unshed
فَاِنظُرso look بِعَينِwith an eye of الرِضاfavor مِنّيof mine إِلىtoward بَدَنٍa body
فَاِنظُر بِعَينِ الرِضا مِنّي إِلى بَدَنٍ
ماnot فيهِin it جارِحَةٌa limb إِلّاexcept وَقَدand already جُرِحَتhas been wounded
ما فيهِ جارِحَةٌ إِلّا وَقَد جُرِحَت
So look with an eye of favor upon this body of mine:
So look upon me with the eye of acceptance
There is no limb in it that has not been wounded.
At a body wherein no part remains unhurt
