عايَنتُI beheld حَبَّةَthe seed خالِهِhis beauty mark
فيin رَوضَةٍa garden مِنof جُلَّنارِpomegranate blossoms
I beheld the seed of his beauty mark
In a garden of pomegranate blossoms;
فَغَداso it became فُؤاديmy heart طائِراًa bird
وَاِصطادَهُand caught it شَرَكُthe snare العِذارِthe down on the cheek
So my heart became a bird,
And the snare of his cheek-down caught it.
