غِنائُها يُصلِحُ لِلتَوبَه

غِنائُها يُصلِحُ لِلتَوبَه

وَريقُها مِن زَبَدِ الحَوبَ

وَريقُها مِن زَبَدِ الحَوبَ

Her singing is suited to repentance.

Her singing amends for penitence

And her saliva is from the froth of sin.

And her saliva from the froth of the jug

فَعَجِّلوا بِالشُربِ قَد أَمسَكَت

فَعَجِّلوا بِالشُربِ قَد أَمسَكَت

مِن قَبلِ أَن تَلحَقَها النَوبَه

مِن قَبلِ أَن تَلحَقَها النَوبَه

So hurry to drink—she has fallen silent—

So hasten to drink before she withholds it

Before her turn comes round.

And decline afflicts it, without fail
