God, through the two ministers, aided a kingdom
God grants victory through the two viziers to a king
that had fallen to ruin, and humiliation had taken firm hold of it.
Who was about to fall and humiliation had taken hold of him,
فَأَجاداso both excelled in giving نَصيحَةًcounsel لِإِمامٍto an imam
فَأَجادا نَصيحَةً لِإِمامٍ

إِن دَهاها في شِدَّةٍ لَم تَخُنهُ
So both gave excellent counsel to an imam:
So they gave good advice to a leader
if he put it under strain in hardship, it did not betray him.
Whose endurance in hardship did not fail him.

He is like a sword between its two cutting edges;
He is like the husam between two millstones,
so this one and that one fight on his behalf.
This one and that grinding for him.
