لِلَّهِ دَرُّ مَعاشِرٍ

لِلَّهِ دَرُّ مَعاشِرٍ

غَلَبوا العَدُوَّ كَما أَراد

غَلَبوا العَدُوَّ كَما أَراد

God bless those bands of men!

Praise be to companions

They defeated the enemy as he wished.

Who defeated the enemy as intended

نَصَرَتهُمُ أَيديهُمُ

نَصَرَتهُمُ أَيديهُمُ

وَالمَشرَفِيّاتُ الحِداد

وَالمَشرَفِيّاتُ الحِداد

Their hands aided them,

Their hands brought them victory

and the sharp Mashrafi swords.

And sharp blades

ما كانَ غَيرُ وَعيدِهِم

ما كانَ غَيرُ وَعيدِهِم

فَهَزَمتُهُ رَكضَ الجَواد

فَهَزَمتُهُ رَكضَ الجَواد

There was nothing but their threats,

It was none but their threat

so I routed him at the steed’s gallop.

That made him flee, galloping fast
