أَيُّwhat وَردٍroses عَلىupon خُدودِcheeks الغَزالِthe gazelle
أَيُّwhat مَيلٍswaying فيin قَدِّهِhis figure وَاِعتِدالِand uprightness
What roses upon the gazelle’s cheeks!
What swaying in his figure, and what poise!
أَيُّwhat دُرٍّpearls إِذاwhen تَبَسَّمَhe smiles يُبديhe reveals
هِit وَسِحرٍand magic فيin طَرفِهِhis gaze وَدَلالِand coquetry
What pearls he reveals when he smiles—
and what magic in his gaze, and what coquetry!
