كَأَنَّها فِضَّةٌ ذابَت عَلى البَلَدِ
Would you care for a bright, moonlit night,
as though silver had melted over the land,
وَقَهوَةٍand wine كَشُعاعِlike the radiance of الشَمسِthe sun صافِيَةٍclear
وَقَهوَةٍ كَشُعاعِ الشَمسِ صافِيَةٍ
كَأَنَّas though أَقداحَهاits cups قَدhad عُمنَthey floated بِالزَبَدِin the foam
كَأَنَّ أَقداحَها قَد عُمنَ بِالزَبَدِ
and clear wine like the sun’s radiance,
as though its cups had floated in foam?
