أَسرَفتُ في الكِتمانِ

أَسرَفتُ في الكِتمانِ

وَذاكَ مِمّا دَهاني

وَذاكَ مِمّا دَهاني

I went too far in concealment,

and that was among the things that afflicted me.

كَتَمتُ حُبَّكَ حَتّى

كَتَمتُ حُبَّكَ حَتّى

كَتَمتُهُ كِتماني

كَتَمتُهُ كِتماني

I hid my love for you until

I hid it even from my concealment.

فَلَم يَكُن لِيَ بُدٌّ

فَلَم يَكُن لِيَ بُدٌّ

مِن ذِكرِهِ بِلِساني

مِن ذِكرِهِ بِلِساني

So I had no choice

but to mention it with my tongue.
