لَمّاwhen رَأَوهاthey saw it وَعَلَوناand we climbed نَشزاa rise
هَزَّhe shook جَناحَيهِhis two wings إِلَيهاtoward it هَزّاa shaking
When they saw it and we climbed a rise,
He shook his two wings toward it,
كَماas هَزَزتَyou shook النَيزَكَthe short spear المُرتَزّاfirmly planted
يَحُزُّhe slices أَعناقَthe necks الرِياحِof the winds حَزّاa slicing
As you shook the firmly planted short spear;
He slices through the necks of the winds,
وَسامَهاand he assailed it قَبضاًgripping وَنَقراًand pecking وَخَزاand piercing
يَطلُبُhe seeks فيin رُؤوسِهِنَّtheir heads كَنزاa treasure
And assailed it with gripping, pecking, and piercing,
He seeks a treasure in their heads.
