ياO رَبِّmy Lord عافِgrant health to الوَزيرَthe vizier وَاِصرِفand divert
يا رَبِّ عافِ الوَزيرَ وَاِصرِف
بيonto me عَنهُaway from him مَكروهَthe harm of كُلِّevery صَرفِturn of fate
بي عَنهُ مَكروهَ كُلِّ صَرفِ
O my Lord, grant the vizier health, and divert
Oh Lord, grant well-being to the minister
onto me, away from him, the harm of every turn of fate.
And turn from him every evil circumstance
أَصلَحَhe reconciled بَينيbetween me وَبَينَand between دَهريmy fortune
أَصلَحَ بَيني وَبَينَ دَهري
وَقامَand he stood بَينيbetween me وَبَينَand between حَتفيmy death
وَقامَ بَيني وَبَينَ حَتفي
He reconciled me with my fortune,
He made peace between me and my days
and stood between me and my death.
And stood between me and my downfall
