O jewel of friends,

وَدَولَةَ المَعالي

وَرَوضَةَ الأَمانِ

وَرَوضَةَ الأَمانِ

and ascendancy of noble virtues,

and garden of safety,

عِش لي كَعُمرِ قَولي

عِش لي كَعُمرِ قَولي

فيكَ فَقَد كَفاني

فيكَ فَقَد كَفاني

Live for me as long as my words live

about you; for I have had enough—

داوَيتَ غَيرَ وِدّي

داوَيتَ غَيرَ وِدّي

مَصائِبُ الإِخوانِ

مَصائِبُ الإِخوانِ

you have healed all but my love—

of the misfortunes of friends.
