وَاِطرِد هُمومَكَ بِالشَمولِ
Prolong your day, my dear friend,
Continue your day, my friend
and drive your worries away with wine.
And banish your worries with joyfulness
وَدَعِand leave العَذولَthe reproacher فَإِنَّهُfor he
وَدَعِ العَذولَ فَإِنَّهُ
سَيَمَلُّhe will grow weary مِنof قالٍtalk وَقيلِand hearsay
سَيَمَلُّ مِن قالٍ وَقيلِ
And leave the reproacher be, for he
And leave the despondent one be
will grow weary of talk and hearsay.
For he will soon tire of words and tales
