Yahya said, when we satirized his father

لا يرى ذا يموت والله غيظا

لا يرى ذا يموت والله غيظا

قلت ممن رعته يموت ويحيا

قلت ممن رعته يموت ويحيا

“He must not see this; by God, he will die of rage!”

May he not die of anger, by God

I said, “He is among those I have frightened: he dies and lives.”

I said, he who nurtured him dies and lives
