قد يمنع المضطر من ميتة
إذاif عصىhe sinned بالسيرby traveling فيalong طرقهhis paths
إذا عصى بالسير في طرقه
One in dire need may be forbidden carrion
The desperate may be forbidden carrion
if he sins by traveling along his paths,
If he disobeys by walking its paths
لأنهbecause he يقوىis capable علىof توبةrepentance
لأنه يقوى على توبة
توجبensures إيصالاconveyance إلىto رزقهhis sustenance
توجب إيصالا إلى رزقه
because he is capable of repentance
For he is capable of repentance
that secures his access to his sustenance.
That necessitates access to his provision
لوif لمnot يتبhe repented مسطحMistah منof ذنبهhis sin
لو لم يتب مسطح من ذنبه
ماnot عوتبwas reproached الصديقal-Siddiq فيin حقهhis case
ما عوتب الصديق في حقه
Had Mistah not repented of his sin,
If the evildoer did not repent his sin
al-Siddiq would not have been reproached concerning him.
The righteous would not be rebuked for his right
